Cassidy Braun Designs

Cassidy is an emerging costume designer, currently based in Lethbridge, Alberta. She specializes specifically in costume design for live theatre. With extensive research and a very keen eye for intricate detail, Cassidy makes sure that each design is unique to each character and show.

Cassidy is currently working towards her Bachelor of Fine Arts, specializing in Drama at the University of Lethbridge. Throughout her time at school, she has discovered her true passion for designing and bringing characters to life through the use of costuming.

 

She strongly believes in working collaboratively with others. She believes that collaboration helps bring a strong, clear, and cohesive vision to life.

A little more about Cassidy is that she has always had a passion for drawing and art. Ever since she could hold a pencil, she was drawing on any piece of paper she could find - and she still does that to this day. She has always loved drawing and designing outfits for her paper dolls and Barbies. So she is no stranger to the world of costume design.

Along with costume designing, Cassidy has also gained experience with being a costume technician. Doing so allowed her to gain even more experience with fabric and the way it moves around the body. She also gained experience working with industrial sewing machines.
